It’s been a few weeks since my last blog.  Actually over a month but I have been busy and pre occupied with getting caught up with things so I could take my vacation.  We really have no plans to “go” anywhere but playing catchup around the house for things I have been putting off while catching up on everything else.  It seems like the older we get the busier we get and the more I play catch-up all year-long.

It is however one of my favorite times of the year.  Cold weather, gumbo’s, Thanksgiving, Christmas, fires in the fireplace, football and good camping weather.  It doesn’t get much better than this.  As I am writing this I am listening to the Trans Siberian Orchestra getting excited about the upcoming week.

Its funny though I was making a list of things I need to do around the house while on vacation and noticed some boxes lying around the staircase that Misty has been asking me to pick up sense this time last year.  No since in doing it anymore now because they are the outdoor Christmas decorations that never made their way to storage so I guess we are really prepared or I have a procrastination problem.  Either way I am looking forward to the Holidays this year and as Landon gets older each one seems more special to me.

Last Friday I finally got my wisdom teeth pulled after 28 years.  I had such a wide range of people telling me how bad it was going to hurt and it did hurt but not near as much as I was expecting.  In fact, the next day we went to the LSU-ULM game at Tiger Stadium and had a blast!  Some very good friends of ours had skybox tickets and truly was the best way to watch any football game.  The only downside was I could not eat all the free food because of my teeth but it was a great weekend to spend with Landon.  The picture below is us at the game that night.

I know this was a really random post but wanted to at least put an update out there before the business of the holidays consumed all of our time.  If I don’t get a chance to write again, everyone have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving, don’t eat too much and remember the Saints are playing the Cowboys that afternoon!  – Until Next Time
